There's that happy face.
Cardinals manager Tony La Russa was back in St. Louis yesterday to talk about his decision to return to the team next season. During a wide-ranging interview with reporters, La Russa was asked about his often surly demeanor during post-game press conferences.

TLR acknowledged that he has an image problem and plans to make amends. Sayeth La Russa:

"My parents were golden. And if -- whether it's reported rightly or wrongly -- if some of the descriptions about the way I carry on or am perceived, they would be really disappointed and upset. The condescension. That's bad. To the extent that I come across that way, I try to be everything but that. So, that's what my goal is -- (to be) loveable me."
