Four Dead in Bloody Thanksgiving Weekend in St. Louis; City Now Has At Least 124 Homicides

The same cannot be said for four people killed in separate acts of violence over the long weekend in place that is not -- we repeat NOT! -- the Most Dangerous City in America.
The carnage began Thanksgiving Day Eve.
That's when three armed thugs broke into a used-car dealership in north St. Louis and killed its owner Richard Clouser. Known by neighbors as "Jolly Rich," Clouser had been in business for 50 years on Natural Bridge Road.
On Saturday, a teenager was gunned down just a few doors down from Jolly Rich's car dealership -- in the 4400 block of Natural Bridge. Eighteen-year-old Ronald White was found bleeding in a parking lot around 10 p.m. November 27 and later pronounced dead at a hospital. A few hours later -- just after midnight November 28 -- police found 29-year-old Gary Williams shot to death inside his apartment on Alexander Street, near Chippewa and Gravois in south St. Louis.
Then, yesterday around 4:30 p.m., 20-year-old Dominique McElroy was gunned down in the 3700 block of North Market on the city's boundary with Hillsdale. Witnesses reported seeing occupants inside a black Dodge Charger with tinted windows and a spoiler shoot McElroy in the head, chest and foot.
McElroy's death brings the homicide total up to at least 124 for the year, according to our count. Back at you later this week with the official numbers as monitored by the St. Louis police department.
