Instead, take advantage of incentives from the Humane Society of Missouri and open your home and your heart to some special little dudes. The cat (or dog, if you must) you adopt will be totally stoked to have a home, and you'll get an ani-pal that will make your life better by leaps and bounds.
At all three Humane Society of Missouri locations, starting Friday, the first 50 adopters through the door get a $10 gift card to use for pet supplies, vet care or even toward the adoption fee. Everybody who adopts gets entered to win a $100 gift card to Schnucks--one winner at each location--and one $200 Target gift card.
The pet you adopt will already be up-to-date on vaccines, and spayed or neutered. Hurrah!
A word of caution, though. Please make sure to consider your new friend in light of holiday travel plans or hosting plans. A new pet needs love and attention, no matter how many people are coming over for your Festivus party.
