Robert Rucker: St. Louis Homicide No. 120; Murder Possibly Connected to Earlier Drive By

Robert Rucker, 20, was shot dead last night at the intersection of Glasgow and Benton in north St. Louis.

St. Louis police report that Rucker was driving a car northbound on Glasgow around 5:13 p.m. when a red sedan -- possibly a Pontiac -- pulled up along side his vehicle and began firing.

Rucker, of the 3200 block of Liberty, was shot in the head and side and pronounced dead at the scene. The two passengers inside his vehicle were not injured.

Police believe that the suspects may have been the same people who gunned down 14-year-old Travion Harris just minutes earlier and a few blocks to the north. Witnesses to that murder also described seeing a red sedan fleeing the scene.
