Ryan Moore
A 17-year-old teenager from southwestern Illinois, has been charged with two felony counts of impersonating a police officer.

According to prosecutors, Ryan W. Moore mounted a strobe light to the dashboard of his maroon Ford Explorer and pulled over two motorists on October 14 in the 14000 block of Trestle Road.

Moore, of the 800 block of Poplar Street in Highland, allegedly warned one driver to slow down and cautioned the other about erratic driving.

Authorities say Moore struck again on October 30.

That's when he allegedly visited the metro East St. Louis home of one of the drivers that he pulled over back on October 14. The female resident allegedly asked Moore for identification during this encounter but he refused saying he was an "undercover cop."

Moore was arrested Monday after the real police tracked him down though a partial license plate number. This week a judge freed Moore until a court hearing but also warned the teen: anymore monkey business and he'll be thrown in jail and held on a $15,000 bond.
