Today's comment comes in response to a message left on post about Phyllis Schlafly, in which the conservative firebrand (and St. Louis native) equates marrying gays to respecting gays. (Schalfly is against both.)
That prompted reader "Mike" to tell the 86-year-old Schlafly to "die prematurely."
