Edward Jones Dome Unlikely to Collapse From Snow, Unfortunately

Just think about it for a second. A natural disaster -- like the blizzard that did in the Metrodome -- would make things so easy. There'd be no debate over whether St. Louis actually needs a new stadium. What's more, Kroenke could play the role of a victim and appeal for public-funding to build a new arena.
St. Louis needs a new stadium, and in order to make it the finest -- and safest! -- in the nation, I'm going to need a bit of public financing. Not much, folks. Just a few hundred million.
But, alas, it's not to be.
As the Brian McMurtry, the director the Edward Jones Dome tells the Post-Dispatch, the St. Louis stadium has a hard roof plastic roof, unlike the Metrodome's pliable Teflon tarp, that is well-suited for snow.
"I'm not exactly sure what the snow load is off the top of my head, but I'm sure we've had eight inches or so up there," says McMurtry.
