Phyllis Schlafly: The Problem With Gays? "They Are Trying to Make Us Respect Them"

Schalfly, as quoted in the article, believes that the national dialogue about gay marriage proves than an "aggressive well-funded pressure group can achieve goals contrary to what the majority of people want."
"I think same-sex marriage would be a terrible mistake," she adds. "I don't think there are any good arguments for it."
But what really made our jaw drop was the insulting way in which she describes same-sex couples who live together and the fact that homosexuals just can't be admired -- no matter what.
"Nobody's stopping them from shacking up," Schlafly says of gays co-habitating. "The problem is they are trying to make us respect them, and that's an interference with what we believe."
