St. Louis' professional soccer team, AC St. Louis, is out of business, according to an online report.

IMSoccer News reports that multiple league sources have confirmed that the team, which played just one season at Anheuser-Busch Soccer Park in Fenton, won't be returning for the 2011 season.

The team is owned by Jeff Cooper, a Metro East attorney, who's been trying for years to establish a professional soccer in St. Louis. Last year a "funding crisis" caused Cooper to fold his Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) team, St. Louis Athletica, just prior to its second season of play due.

According to IMSoccer News, AC St. Louis faced the same financial obstacles. AC St. Louis compiled a 7-15-8 record in its lone year playing in the United States Soccer Federation Division 2 Pro League. The team averaged around 2,750 fans per game. Cooper is now reportedly trying to find a buyer for the A-B Soccer Park.
