Globe-Democrat: Asleep with the fishes.
The Globe-Democrat is dead (again).

The online paper published its last snippets last week -- some thirteen months after its first launch.

Back in late 2009 publisher Dan Rositano hoped people would flock to his site, named after the old St. Louis daily paper that ceased operations in 1986. But almost immediately the online paper had troubles, including a copyright issue with another publication also operating as the Globe-Democrat.

Moreover, the online paper never seemed to make any money. In May of last year Rositano's entire sports staff quit in unison after not getting paid for their work. For the past few months the paper had run little more than wire stories. The site is currently down.

Gossip columnist Jerry Berger reports that Rositano is now working for Channel 46, WRBU.

Its a shame. Although it not live up to the paper that shut down in 86.

Bloggers are not journalists...not even close. The are people that have a relationship with a computer.

I guess their weren’t enough conservative bloggers to support the biased content of the deceased online Globe-Democrat?! A shout out to my fellow liberal bloggers,Obama4King and Ganoshone that posted on the now deceased Globe-Democrat!

The Globe Democrat sucked; that's why it went out of business. Shamelessly right wing, it also displayed the typical cluelessness when it reported that a shooting in Dutchtown was in "Downtown." Right, we get it, everything east of Skinker is "Downtown." Good riddance.

There are plenty of conservatives out there. Just look at the responses on KSDK and the idiots voted out of the house alone. By the way, Obama4King was a conservative, caught the blogger a few times in the act. I was entertained by his stupidity.
