Hearing Today Over Bill to Ban Red-Light Cameras in Missouri
State senator Jim Lembke (R - St. Louis County) drafted similar legislation last year that failed to become law. This year, Lembke's SB16, which he pre-filed back in December, prohibits any municipality or state agency in Missouri from using red-light cameras.
State representative Paul Wieland (R - Imperial) has introduced a nearly identical bill in the House (HB406 ) that has yet to be scheduled for a hearing.
