Jeff Smith Hits National Stage Yet Again On MSNBC's The Dylan Ratigan Show

Categories: Politics
Had your fill of former state senator Jeff Smith? Good, 'cause he's everywhere! Since getting released from federal prison last November after fibbing to the FBI about his 2004 congressional campaign, "Mr. Smith" has hit the national stage: The New Republic did a bang-up feature on him (though we think his profile in St. Louis Magazine was also great). And yesterday he spoke with Dylan Ratigan of MSNBC about why he got taken down, and how to fix campaign finance:

As she often does, Jo Mannies of The Beacon adds some interesting context on how Smith got on the show:
...Smith said late Tuesday that he agreed to do the Ratigan show because he was in New York anyway for a job interview and meetings in connection with his book, which he wrote largely while in prison. The manuscript is almost completed, Smith said.
Oh yeah: the guy's also got a book coming out. Daily RFT very strongly suspects we haven't heard the last of him...
