Delta Flight Skids in Snow Saturday; Plane Carried Kit Bond and Adam Wainwright

Categories: News
The spring storm that dropped more than four inches of snow Saturday at St. Louis Lambert Field is being blamed for a frightful landing that day.

A Delta flight from Atlanta carrying 142 passengers touched down around 5:30 p.m. and briefly skidded off the runway before the pilot was able to correct the slide and stop the plane.

Among the passengers on board were Cardinals injured pitcher Adam Wainwright and former Senator Kit Bond. Bond told Fox 2 Sunday that the "plane took a very sharp left turn" before the pilot was able to recover the aircraft. No one was injured in the landing.
