Donye Calvin: St. Louis County Man Accused of Killing Toddler

​A north-county man has been charged with second-degree murder in what St. Louis County police describe as a "sick case involving a small child."

Authorities accuse 22-year-old Donye Calvin of killing his girlfriend's child as he babysat for the two-year-old toddler on Friday.

The child, D'mond Staples, was found unconscious inside a home on the afternoon of March 11 and rushed to a hospital where the tot was pronounced deceased.

Calvin, of the 2600 block of Tyrell, is being held on a $500,000 cash only bond.
