Snyder to Alden: "I'd never do that to you, baby."
Daily RFT today intercepted an email sent late yesterday to University of Missouri athletic director Mike Alden.

The message, sent in the hours following coach Mike Anderson's departure to University of Arkansas, appears to have been sent by Mizzou's former basketball coach, Quin Snyder.

Snyder, as you'll recall, was forced to resign from MU in 2005 following years of scandal in which the Tigers were placed on NCAA probation.

We cannot confirm the authenticity of the following email, though it seems rather legit to us.

Subject: how you like them apples?

Whooo-hoooo! Hoooo! Oh yeah!!! Suck it!!!

I told you not to get rid of me! I warned you that Mizzou is a stepping stone. Get any coach better than me -- I told you -- and he'll be gone in a matter of years. He'll go to a conference where he doesn't have to get his ass kicked twice a year by Kansas.

I beat Kansas, Mike. Well, I beat them twice as much as Anderson ever could or did. But, noooo, you said you needed a coach with ethics. With class. Where are all those principles now? Did that heartless bastard, Anderson, even leave you a Dear John letter? Did he??

I'd have never done that to you, baby. When you hired me I told you I would leave Mizzou only on one condition: I was called away to work for Vidal Sassoon.

But, no! You had to fire me. That wasn't part of the deal. Actually, scratch that. You didn't fire me. You had a radio broadcaster tell me I needed to tender my resignation because you didn't have the balls to do it face-to-face.

You know who does have balls? Me! I've got lots of orange leather ones filling up space in my condo storage unit. More than that, I've also got skills -- the same mad skills that got us to the Elite 8 back in 2002. Wasn't that fun? Don't you want to get there again?

We can.

Whaddya say? How about we let bygones be bygones? Admit you were wrong. Re-hire me and let's party like it's 1999 -- the year I came to Columbia and started making Mizzou basketball interesting again.

Friend me on Facebook! Let's discuss!
