Even your dog is reading Henrietta Lacks and listening to Sammy Hagar.
Here's your weekly St. Louis bestseller list for the week ending March 20, as compiled by the St. Louis Independent Booksellers Alliance and based on sales at Left Bank Books, Main Street Books, Pudd'nhead Books, Subterranean Books and Sue's News.

Rebecca Skloot and Sammy Hagar both gave readings in St. Louis last week, which partially accounts for their shared place atop the adult list. (Click over to A to Z to read an interview with Hagar's co-author, Joel Selvin.) The other parts are the overall awesomeness of The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and St. Louisans' deep affection for the Red Rocker.

This week's list also includes one Alliance member, Main Street Books owner Vicki Erwin who, upon discovering there were no architectural histories of St. Charles, co-wrote one of her own, St. Charles Then and Now. Still, it couldn't beat perennial bestseller Ghosts of St. Charles by Michael Henry.
