St. Louis police are still trying to piece together who exactly killed 26-year-old Emmett Terry on Tuesday.

Terry allegedly broke through a door along this stretch of Oregon just before he was shot.
Terry, of the 1900 block of Semple, was shot dead around 10:30 a.m. April 5 after he allegedly broke though the front door of his ex-girlfriend's home in the 4600 block of Oregon (above) in south St. Louis. The ex-girlfriend had a full-order of protection against Terry, according to police.

Authorities believe that more than one person was inside the ex-girlfriend's residence at the time and are attempting to determine who exactly pulled the trigger. Once that's resolved, it's up to prosecutors to determine whether or not the shooting was justified.
