• My brother's girlfriend who is a nurse took one look at the physical mechanics and stated that he had "shingles" based on the scabbing on his forehead. To remind everyone, shingles is the adult version of "chicken pox". Shingles is a bit more serius than "pink eye". At first impression with the scabbing on the forehead, it sure looked like our contentious friend had been in a "bar room brawl" and had been "nailed" in the left eye with abrasions on his forehead from hitting the floor. There is no doubt that this is just not simple pink eye.

• What Tony LaRussa has looks like shingles in his eye and on his head. My mother had that once on her forehead and around the eye......looked like this. Very painful.
