Budweiser's Encouraging You To Grow a Beard for the Planet

So -- and again, our research here is based entirely on Beer Commercial Dude Studies 101 -- Budweiser's latest campaign to get Facebook likes and sell beer to dudes and beard fans in general seems like a no-brainer.
On Facebook, they're asking fellers to save water, a precious natural resource, by bristling up and abstaining from shaving for as long as they possibly can, or at least until World Environment Day on June 5th. The St. Louis-based brewery says that an average shave uses three to ten gallons of water.
"Basically, you don't have to do anything. It's that easy," the Facebook page says. It asks you to either pledge to forswear your Schick ("I cannot wait to start growing an epic beard in the name of saving water") or to refer some of your beardy bro-dawgs to the Facebook page so they can grow epic beards.
Here at Daily RFT headquarters, we're certainly susceptible to the charms of well-wrought face fuzz. And if it's a gesture towards saving water, cool. And since by definition this applies almost entirely to dudes, well...beer clearly must figure in somehow, our studies tell us.
