Poll: Does Death of Osama bin Laden Make the World Safer?

Will his death create more violence?
The State Department has issued a worldwide travel advisory for Americans following the death of Osama bin Laden at the hands of U.S. forces yesterday.

For now, at least, it's unclear what bin Laden's death might mean for al-Qaida, the terrorist group he helped organize nearly two decades ago. Bin Laden has been on the run and arguably has provided little leadership since September 11, 2001, when he staged his most devastating attack on New York and Washington D.C.

Could it be that whoever replaces bin Laden as leader will be even more dangerous? And will his death serve to feed -- not quell -- anger toward the West?

"We condemn the assassination and the killing of an Arab holy warrior," Ismail Haniyeh, head of Hamas in the Gaza strip, was quoted as saying yesterday. "We ask God to offer him mercy with the true believers and the martyrs."

So what do you think? Does bin Laden's death make the world a safer place? Voice your opinion in our poll below.

Hard to say based on one single event, such as this. But what is undeniable is that true Justice is not only effective, but absolutely indispensable. Life would be hell without Justice.

Is the world safer?? All I can say is that world is definitely better.

Now the question is who's next...the list of people needing similar treatment is very very long.

Will it help? Probably not. He is just one of many. But for the mental health of the nation, it is knowing that the bastard who raped us is now gone that will bring us some small measure of peace.
