The St. Louis African Arts Festival

Categories: Go!

For the last twenty years, the African Heritage Association has presented the St. Louis African Arts Festival, a weekend full of dancing, singing, art, poetry, lots of food and an authentic African market with a wide variety of products, set up at the World's Fair Pavilion. The event's many sponsors (including the Missouri Arts Council, the Regional Arts Commission and the Office of Minority Health-Missouri Department of Health and Senior Service) and partners (the St. Louis Art Museum, the Muny, the St. Louis Public Library, the St. Louis Zoo, the Missouri History Museum and Washington University in St. Louis) are all presenting thematic programming, including an African film festival and a tour of African art at the St. Louis Art Museum.
