On behalf of the family and friends and supporters of Justice for Anthony Rice, we would like to express our deepest appreciation to the RFT and especially the outstanding in depth investigation and investigative reportage by hard hitting, old school reporter Nick Phillips for his tenacious, no holds barred reportage on this case in Jan., 2011 issue of RFT. We believe that his story was the catalyst that resulted in this case finally being submitted to the Grand Jury by the new St Claire States Attorney. Hopefully Justice will be done this time.

I was not hoping for this, I live by Reggie and I would see him out around town still trying to be a bad ass, staring people down trying to provoke an altercation. His take nothing attitude. See were it got him, he would drive around still doing drugs still being a wanna be. Taking care of his kids my ass. He never gave a damn till he got scared he was going to jail. Well he is in jail now. It is ashamed that someone like him with such nice siblings and great parents that do have money who do own several bussiness in the metro east and his future was looking pretty nice. Now he will sit in jail for a long time. Some people say he can bribe his way out, but not with his record they are gonna hang his ass. In no way do I show disrespect for reggie or his family but what the hell went wrong with that kid. Why the bad decisions...why why why. My heart goes out to the rice family for thier death but in no way was Reggie the only responsible party. What if the murder wouldnt have happend. It would have been 4 blacks claiming they wooped up on some white folks. And for anyone to carry a gun for no reason and then to pull it out to use you wonder why someone got killed. Imagine the rush with all parties involved. It was a street battle. For the Rice family why did your party have to retaliate why not go the police after the brick was thrown thru your window. Why the altercation after asked to leave, there are 2 nicer clubs within walking distance from City Nights. Alot of questions need to be answered before blame can be put on anybody. This is what our society has came to. 100's of years of fighting to create this world we live in today and there is no respect. For both parties involed quit pointing the finger and think what could I have done that night to prevent the situation and then think why didnt you. I will pray for everyone as we wait for the outcome. Also why hasnt any charges been filed against the Rice party. Trespassing for not leaving when told to, Harrasing the club workers (verbally) wreckless driving while attempting to fight off the club workers. I hope people will see this and give there opinion so I can understand why thids had to happen. God Bless Everyone involved especially the mothers of Rice and Allen.

Bill I agree with u that this guy is a menace to society and that he walks around like he's superior r invinsible to all that is related to human life. His record speaks loud and clear to everyone that if you have money, you can buy just about anything or anyone. I mean no disrespect to his family or the Rice but everyone has to be held accountable for the things they do n the decisions that they make. Somewhere in his life, something went wrong to make him think and act the way he does. It doesn't make difference what color your skin is or the where you live; you shouldn't take a life because you didn't give and you definitely don't have the right to take it. God is the Alpha, Omega and the Beginning and the End. What gives anyone the right to take someone's life because of what they say! You do have the right to say what you like without putting your hands or any weapons on anyone. If he had of spent the rest of his sentencing in 2005 incarcerated, then maybe this young man may be still alive. He was in his right mind and could've stopped his vehicle at any given time. Nevertheless, let the individuals leave the premises. As has been seen in the surveillance tape. No one retaliated to any knowledge and why no one bother to call the local law enforcement agency is a question that needs to be answered by both parties involved. But when you see someone intentionally throw a brick through a car window, you want some answers or have some questions. No one was asked to leave or Trespassing when you promote, "Girls, Girls and Hot Beer". You're inviting patrons to enter your establishment for potential growth because you own a business. And a business is put in place to promote sales. A lot of questions need to be answered and asked. One for sure is, "Once they where off the premises, Why didn't you stop your vehicle?" Or what was the reason for you to get into your vehicle in the first place? God is always in control and he sees all. Don't ever think that what you are doing will not be noticed. Justice is in the eye of the beholder. He will get his punishment soon enough!!!! Judgement Day is coming and he will be Judged by God Almighty himself and the punishment is outstanding and I wouldn't wish it on anyone!!! Do good and good will follow. Read Psalms 37.
