St. Louis Named Midwest's Best Weekend Getaway

Or so says AAA Midwest Traveler, which polled its readers and determined that the Lou beats the snot out of Chicago and Kansas City.
Readers also named the Loop's own Moonrise Hotel as the "best small hotel," Tony's as the "best fine dining" and the Katy Trail State Park as the "best bike trail."
Happy as we are about all this, we can't help but wonder who's been stuffing the ballot box on our behalf: Readers also chose the Saint Louis Art Museum as the "best art museum," beating out, yes, the Art Institute of Chicago.
So, OK, maybe we don't want to trust these anonymous readers when it comes to art. But when it comes to weekend excitement, we'll take the win, thankyouverymuch.
