Darrell Leach: St. Louis Homicide No. 101; Shot Dead Outside His Home

A man who told police he was shot by persons looking for drugs just after midnight yesterday has died from his wounds.
Darrell L. Leach was outside his home in the 1300 block of Montclair around 12:20 a.m. October 20 when he was shot in the hip. Police say that Leach, 25, told them that men in a gray Pontiac Grand Am stopped to ask him where they could purchase drugs. When Leach told them that he didn't know, one of the men shot him.
