No more "pantless" parties!?
Well, you can't say that the place didn't get publicity. Though, in the end, perhaps it wasn't exactly the kind of PR the bar was shooting for.

Verlin's Bar and Grill is reportedly closed.

The watering hole, on the outskirts of The Grove neighborhood in south St. Louis, made headlines in August when Daily RFT first published a photo of the Lt. Governor Peter Kinder hanging out in the establishment with bartender Tammy Chapman. A little more digging found that Verlin's bartenders are known for their scantily-clad outfits and "Pantless Parties." A little more RFT digging unearthed the bombshell: That Kinder and Chapman have a history, with Kinder obsessed with Chapman (a former Penthouse centerfold) in the 1990s when she worked as an exotic dancer in Sauget.

Verlin's had operated in Soulard for a short time before moving to The Grove earlier this year.

Chad: I would have been first but I just got onlilne. I bet the RFT will be festooned with black crepe and funeral wreaths to mark the demise of Verlin's. All your stall will wear black for a week, the RFT flag  will fly at half staff and an Irish wake will be held at the Fenske residence. Tammy Chapman will deliver the eulogy and Peter Kinder will return Tammy's monogrammed panties. And grief counselors will be on hand to help you all in this terrible time of sorrow.  RIP Verlin's! Sniff Sniff. Well, it's time to grab my hankie and dab my eyes. I feel your pain.  And now it's time the RFT to give Robin Wright Jones the same endless coverage you gave Kinder. She's ripe for a pickin'! Go get her with all your zeal and expose her financial shenanigns!
