• I think closing any county park is a mistake. If the county would charge 4.00 a car are 20.00 a year to use the parks.it would create some jobs and I think could help support the parks. Lone Ealk on a good day 500+ cars a day. NB.charges and it works "THINK ABOUT IT." 

• City County merger will never happen. The best thing St. Louis County could ever do is force an end to all the one horse towns in St. Louis County. Four Mega Cities should emerge - North, South, West and Central. This would streamline both the counties operations and how residents have to deal with any of the four new municipalities.

• Rallys, weeping, begging, gathering signatures usually pave the way to failure- whether it is saving endangered structures, or jobs, or parks. Grow up. Find the money: 1.) $50 million a year keep in the County, end zoo/nuseums tax.. They don't need it. 2.) There are enough bicycle trails/paths, the parks are more important- $10 million. 3.) Stop sending hotel/motel (tourism) tax revenue into City. 'Work' it in the County. $10 m. That is $70 million. That's a hell of start, without raising taxes. I'll have more next week. • Second to the whole 'legalize pot' initiative, this is a very important cause -- worse case scenario, we'll get a bunch of shitty McMansions on former park land.  That's just sad.
