Lets go beyond the hate and just say its sad that four lives are destroyed, one was taken by bullets, the others will now become state property. Lets not slander ol boy because he was caucasian and selling weed, it was what it was but at the same time you shouldnt drop the n bomb either. Above all else someone was killed but u all are so ignorant and blind to that.

My thought is that his pike "brothers" set Robbie up for the fall. The reason they are off on the books is because the current council is embellezzing money.

I'm so sorry Robbie. You were an amazing dude. These people don't know what they're saying. A bad decision doesn't make you who you are. You are remembered in a beautiful, positive light by the people who loved you and continue to love your amazing family. God bless everyone who thinks they can judge you because of a single news story on the Riverfront Times. They need it. Watch over the world from up there, Rob.

Look here's the deal:The blacks won't snitch because it's black code now. The cops won't force that because cops are well lazy fags and idiots and don't want to do the work for which they're paid and couldn't care less how many Whites are killed execution style. Now the Whites won't snitch because nowadays Whites have been reprogrammed to think blacks are something desirable despite how savage, brutal, violent, apeish, brutish and thuggish ALL blacks are. The Whites will say to someone in that condescending tone "Oh well I'm not going to snitch because I have a lot of respect for African Americans and some of my best friends (meaning a black that they occasionally see in the lunch room at work) are African Americans. MLK was truly a great man. I thinking it's a shame that Whites are such racists".

You don't see Whites executing blacks but you do see blacks executing Whites ALL the time!

Really?  Is everything about race?  We all bleed red.  We are not different as you would like to think.  To Dum Whiteboy........what gives you the right to dictate what another individual can and can't do.  Life is something that should be cherished and no one has the right to take another individuals life.  Under no circumstance.

I am disgusted with what I have read in these comments.  There is no compasion or empathy.  I see jealousy of what Robbie had; a loving family, an education, a nice car.  He had a "job, education, faith and quality of life", something that many individuals in the "hood" would not know what those words mean and that doesn't mean living off the government or my tax dollars.

It is quite sad that people have to turn this into a racial dispute. A mother and father have lost their child, people have lost sight of the real problem. This is not about black and white!!!!! Wake up people this is a problem that crosses over all racial lines! My deepest sympathy to the McGartland Family. My BLACK children attended St John and James with the family. I know you did a wonderful job raising a fine young man that just caught up in a bad situation.

Robbie was a kind, good and genuine young man who made a poor decision.  He was a friend to many and will be sorely missed.  For the individual who shot him I have to say, what goes around comes around.  Your time will come.

Idc what someones race is. it doesn't change the fact that this was a terrible incident.

He and his family are very loved and respected. It only took one bad decision by this young man to forever alter all of their lives. They are not racist nor snobby people, quite the contrary; they are loving and set an example of what it means to follow Jesus, probably a name you are completely unfamiliar with.

My question is, since this is a "black-on-white killing", will the press and courts and politically correct types say it's a "hate crime"? Or does that only go when a white man kills a black, since everybody knows it isn't a black man's fault for murdering whites since somebody they may or may not have been related to was mistreated 150 years ago? Just a thought.

all people who die in drug related incidents all have family, are good people, blah, blah, blah.  Fact is, he shouldn't have been down there.  Fact is, that 15,000 a year high school apparently did nothing for him.  My brother and his family are at the funeral, and yes, he had tons of friends.  Again, he shouldn't have been there in the first place.
