I am by no means perfect and have my own problems, etc. but never would I ever use 'manipulation' as an excuse to let someone have sex with my 5-month old child. It's called personal responsibility. I believe anyone who can prey on children, especially very small defenseless children, has no heart and no soul, and should be dispatched from this earth forthwith and in the most painful way possible. There is no redeeming of predators of children, and what makes this even worse is she was the child's mother! The most important and sacred of a mother's instinct and duty is to protect your child from harm. You talk of society, there is no society if people stand by and let these things happen without serious repercussions.
