Church of Scientology's "Psychiatry: An Industry of Death" Exhibit Returns to St. Louis

• CCHR has no interest in accuracy or truth. Dr. Howard Brody, a subject interviewed for their recent "documentary" asked that his segments be removed because while he was a critic of excessive use of psychiatric medication he didn't want to be part of a dishonest piece. His comments afterwards: "I was assured at that time that this was an independent project, despite the fact that the documentary group had ties to the Church of Scientology.  I subsequently became better educated about the many underhanded and dishonest methods used by Scientology to attack the practice of psychiatry and the use of psychotropic medications. The video discusses adverse reactions to psychotropic drugs without a single mention of any benefit. In the end it advocates "informed consent" which requires a balanced discussion of both benefits and risks.  Psychiatry is referred to constantly as "the psychiatric industry." If I did an expose of how orthopedists take a lot of money from device makers and have serious conflicts of interest, and I referred to the specialty of orthopedics as "the orthopedic industry," critics would immediately conclude that the film was terribly biased against the orthopods--and the critics would be right.  "Half of all people who commit suicide were on psychotropic drugs." Come on--the logical fallacy is obvious. Much more than half of all asthmatics who die of their disease were on anti-asthma drugs. Does that mean the drugs killed them? (In a few cases, apparently yes, but only in a very few.)  The DSM contains "hundreds of fictitious disorders invented by psychiatrists," and is a tool to label anyone on earth with a psychiatric diagnosis. Now the DSM may be deeply flawed, and probably is, but anyone making this charge has not read it. Any disorder in the DSM comes with a long list of exclusion criteria to assure that it is not applied to just anyone. From the few well-publicized cases of commercial "disease mongering" like "social phobia," the video generalizes to all psychiatry as fictitious." 

• You should join the Church of Scientology. With your belief if moonbattery and anti-Semitism they might think you are the long-awaited re-incarnation of L. Ron Hubbard himself.

• 15,000 deaths of children every year? That's like five 911's. You don't think the public need to know abou this? And you think this exhibit is doing "nothing good"? Get a grip.

• Perhaps CCHR would have greater credibility if it also provided the important public service of exposing the dangers of Scientology:  tragic deaths, ruined families, forced abortions, slave labor, aggressive soliciting, the relentless attacks on perceived enemies.

• I doubt it's an accident that you missed the real point.  This exhibit is an important public service that exposes the dangers of psychiatry as it has evolved over the past 200 years, the "science" that has developed a generation of zombies by classifying  normal childhood behavior as an illness that can only be "cured" by lifelong consumption of drugs that a classified in the same category as cocaine.  The "science" that has the highest suicide rate of any profession.  The "science" that is in collusion with big pharma to create designed diseases for their new designer drugs while suppressing the truth about the drug trials--truths that brought several pharma giants to their knees over the past year resulting in their decision to cease manufacturing their psychotropic drugs.  But hey--it's so much easier to pick fun of the group because it was founded by Scientology.  "Hmmm," you say.  "If Scientology founded the group and they are exposing fraud of this dimension, maybe some of what we've heard about Scientology was an attempt to discredit them?"  Go to the head of the class young man.

• Dean Foxberg chimes in with the Catholic Church lies about the hollowhoax. The jews declared economic war on Germany long before the war started. They blame them for the Holocaust, apartheid and all the abuses of the pharmaceuticals industry although Hubbard was fond of using amphetamines. According to Hubbard, it all started 75 million years ago, when the psychiatrists helped the tax collectors and Xenu, the evil galactic overlord. I'm not kidding. That's what they learn in their secret OTIII doctrine. The current leader of Scientology, the tiny David Miscavige, never finished high school. They'd like to replace psychiatry, education, business, medicine and government with $cientology.

• The church of scientology has a very selective and so distorted view of history conveniently ignoring all the other tenuous links made by other conspiracy theorists to events like the holocaust and 9/11 so they can construct their own. Take the holocaust. There is evidence the catholic church was involved; there were certainly Nazi sympathisers who were catholic. Some say the Vatican encouraged the holocaust. Joseph Mengal one of the lead architechs of the holocaust was also a physician and the medical professIon learned a lot from his experiments on Jews, Jewish twins and other undesirables, arguably the medical profession could have started it. Hitler was an artist, painter and so maybe one could say artists did it for some obscure reason (perhaps they didn't like Jewish art?) As for 9/11 well we all "know" the CIA planned that but what I bet you didn't know was there are church of scientology plants in the CIA (remember the church of scientology really did pull off the largest ever infiltration of US Government offices) so really the church of scientology did it; after all their leader still maintains it was the wake up call that the World leaders need the church of scientology - check out the various speeches by David Miscavige on Youtube. Ask yourselves how come the church of scientology Volunteer Ministers were so well prepared for 9/11? Ok the last paragraph was B/S, learn to recognise it if you plan to visit their exhibit.

• The church of scientology solution is "the global obliteration of psychiatry" to be replaced by their proprietory dianetics as the single solution for all human psychosomatic ailments. Naturally the church of scientology wants a monopoly on this so they can make shed loads of cash, which to be fair is what the psychiatric industry makes right now although they compete with "complimentary" or alternative treatments and other therapists. Funnily enough the church of scientology harp on about psychiatrists drugging people but the most profit goes to "big pharma". Further more the massive majority of pills taken are taken voluntarily and while many are undoubtedly necesssary a sizable portion are life style choice (anti-depressants are easier to take than working on will power and positive thinking).

• Their solution? Just stay home and continue climbing the walls until you kill yourself or starve to death, like God intended. Psychiatric treatment is meant to help people. Historically, treatment practices started out pretty messed up and based on a perverse assumption that the mentally ill should be isolated from society. But doctors are beginning to make huge advances in neuroscience and psychiatry that could potentially help even more people.

• Add a letter and change em up a bit and you get "Scientology: An Industry of Death."  Yeah...that sounds about right.

• And BTW it's doubtful and certain that this exhibit leaves out that there were infact 45,000 jews enlisted in the German military during WWII most of which were in fact in the notorious SS and stationed at the work camps. So many of the "so called" atrocities against jews can be directly traced back to the jews themselves but of course this is an inconvenient truth left out of the mind warping programming forced upon populations by the mind warping cult of judaism.

• You could have just as easily be describing the Cult of Judaism, the dangerous, homicidal freaks that have terrorized mankind with their Synagogue of Satan for Centuries. They are the founders of the crackpot, torture chambers of psychiatry meant as a pretext to destroying people they don't like or that resist their vulgar repulsive cult.

•  Be careful Missouri! Don't let this floating exhibit fool you. Scientology is dangerous.

• Good job warning the public.  Some just faintly know of Scientology as kooky, nutty, bizarre.  But that's just scratching the surface.  Google away.  It's a dangerous, fanatical, mafia type business scam.  If you get involved in the slightest, no matter how innocent the faces you will see, do your homework first.  You'll understand if you do.
