Mayor Slay Guest Programmed KSHE Klassics, And it Rocked

And neither does Mayor Slay.
I'm not sure how I missed this as it was happening, but Mayor Slay guest programmed KSHE's "KSHE Klassics Overtime" this past Sunday -- and it friggin' rocked. Slay posted his playlist on his blog, and it reveals a couple of cliche picks ("Comfortably Numb" is dead to me, and "Stairway to Heaven" only works when in the context of hearing the entire album) but it's mostly a tasty blend of prog rock, deep cuts and anthems.

You can not go wrong with ELO's "Telephone Line," and Jethro Tull's "Locomotive Breath" is a stone killer -- you can't help but step on the gas when Ian's breathy, almost-out-of-control flute solo percolates into being.

The lesson here is, I need to resume listening to KSHE on Sundays.
