The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department has reported that police officers and at least one suspect exchanged gunfire over the weekend, resulting in a man's death.

On Friday evening St. Louis police shot dead Jordan Walls, nineteen, of the 4900 block of Terry Avenue. In addition the police shot and wounded another suspect, 22-year-old Tyrone Walls, of the 4900 block of Plover. He is in stable condition at a local hospital.

Officers responded to a reported shooting at the 4000 block of St. Louis Avenue. When they arrived, at least one person from a gold vehicle fired shots toward the arriving officers, as well as toward individuals on a nearby porch, the police say. (One man took a bullet from the gold car -- it struck him in the arm -- and was treated at a local hospital.)

The gun shots transitioned into a police chase, ending at the 4900 block of Maffitt Avenue.

According to the police, two suspects exited their car and pointed weapons at officers. Police officials say that six officers fired their guns, with one of the bullets killing Jordan Walls. Tyrone Walls suffered a gunshot wound to the arm. No officers were injured, and weapons were recovered at the scene.

The police department placed the six officers involved in the shooting on administrative leave, pending an investigation.

The Circuit Attorney's Office issued at-large warrants for Tyrone Walls on two counts of first-degree assault on a law enforcement officer, two counts of armed criminal action and one count of resisting/interfering with arrest.

Earlier this year the St. Louis Post-Dispatch published a story suggesting that St. Louis police officers shoot at suspects at higher rates than police officers in other, larger cities.

"Felled" means killed according to Webster's definition. So to all the sons and daughters of evil, Good will prevail because vengeance is mine saith the Lord!

Kitty: Absolutely. Also, "fatally felled"? A bit redundant, no?

There's that term again "Felled". The PC police were using that term a couple of years back and now it's back again. A tree if "felled", a person is "kilt". You don't say "Tyrone felled Markeesha wen da bich wunt git Tyrone hee munee". What you say is "Tyrone kilt da bich cuz shee aint git G hee munnee"
