If You Like Guns, Ted Nugent, Mitt Romney & More Guns, the NRA's Got a Deal for You!

Mitt Romney will speak at the NRA convention in St. Louis next week!
Next weekend, more than 60,000 people are flocking to downtown St. Louis for the 2012 National Rifle Association Annual Meetings and Exhibits!

This is a huge deal because, first of all, I will have a tougher time finding a parking spot.

Secondly, an important national figure will be present: Ted Nugent!

Also, Mitt Romney (the GOP front-runner and possibly our next president) will be there, along with Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich (probably not future presidents), and the following other gentlemen: Congressman Darrell Issa, Senator Roy Blunt, Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton, Hon. Ken Blackwell, Lt. Col. Oliver North, Governor Scott Walker, U.S. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Governor Bobby Jindal, and Senator Chuck Grassley.

The latter are all scheduled to speak at the Celebration of American Values Leadership Forum on Friday, April 13.

But the next day is a big one, too, when attendees can chat it up with country star Trace Adkins, U.S. Olympic Biathlon athletes, expert marksmen, and of course, the afore-mentioned Nuge (seen talking about the Second Amendment below):

Of course, if the lines are too long at the celebrity booths, you could always mill around the 500 vendors displaying their firearms. (The spread at the convention center will be so enormous that the NRA is offering a smart-phone app to help you navigate it).

Just like the post dispatch, apparently the rft is embarrassed that it missed what nugent said in st. Louis that is now a national story, and will simply pretend it was nothing. Nugent could cite the lack of Stl coverage when he answers questions from the secret service.

This is going to be a great event!  And just because the Nuge gets a lot of attention by the media doesn't mean he represents gun owners or gun-rights advocates.  He doesn't.

You are wrong, Stlguns. Ted Nugent serves on the boards of the National Association of Gun Rights and the NRA. An article in the National Associatoin of Gun Rights dated February 27, 2012 states Nugent is very much a guns-rights advocate. And by being on those boards he certainly represents us gun owners.

I am not against gun rights for people who are responsible, but is it necessairy for guns to be available at Walmart and gun shows?  Why are pro-gun people so adament that they must be able to buy and carry guns anywhere in public?

Yoda, where does teh 2nd Amendment say anything abot gun shos and Wal-Mart as off limits to purcahase a firearm? Why are you so afraid of law-abiding citizens carrying in public? Law enforcement does.

Responsible…of Course!!!  And I guess you'd be the one to define what that would be, you and those like you.  And of course it would be wrong to sell guns at Walmart (btw they only sell rifles and shotguns) because guns aren’t considered “sporting equipment”.  And if you can’t sell guns at “GUN SHOWS” then where can you sell them because of course people like you won’t stop at gun shows will you.  Private sales between law-abiding citizens will be next…then gun stores…and pretty soon the US ends up like Mexico with the “right to bear arms” with the only arms available to citizens being in a single location, run by the military, and requiring the permission of a general.  But hey…their laws and regulations on firearms have done a great job of keeping their population safe and guns out of the hands of criminals hasn’t it?

I’m so sorry that us law-abiding gun-owning citizens adamantly protect our fundamental rights to own weapons, protect ourselves, and preserve our self determination.  How horrible for you that as many as 50% (and growing) of all households in this country have decided they should have the freedom to own, buy, and sell firearms.  How horrible for you that 49 states now have concealed carry laws in some form and that your fellow citizens are deciding with increasing frequency they should have the right to protect themselves wherever and however they choose.  It must be terrible for you to know that your fellow citizens are beginning to understand that “shall not infringe” means their rights shall not be infringed upon by you or those like you and that more gun laws will do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to keep people safer.

Weak in intelligence Master Yoda is...parrot the same tired anti-gun arguments does he.

Really?  Nugent certainly exemplifies the pro-gun violence NRA white trash that will attend this event.

Poor Mike, as a colostomy bag with ears, surely there's a NAMBLA Convention coming soon for you to get giddy about.
