Pedestrian Hit by Train in Kirkwood

KMOV and KTVI both report that a pedestrian was hit by an Amtrak train just before 5 p.m. near Leffingwell and Scott avenues in Kirkwood (the railroad crossing at the intersection, above). The person was wearing headphones at the time, and witnesses claimed the train blew its whistle prior to the attack. There's no word yet on the condition of the victim.

Sadly, it has been reported it was a 14 year old boy who was struck and killed by the train.
