Post-Dispatch Lays Off Six People Today

Maybe they should try a new image to turn things around?  Change the name to: St. Louis Post-Junk.

Oops, typo.  I meant:

St. Louis Post-Junck.

The paper keeps getting worse and worse.

They laid off editors???  Now it's going to have even more typos...

The Post-Disgrace has gone downhill so badly through the years that now it's not even good enough to line my cat's litterbox. Reporters who can't even write, let alone report. Copy editors who can't even spell, let alone edit. Somebody please shoot this sorry-ass piece of journalism nothingness and put it out of its misery....

If someone paid me 500,000 bananas, I'd lay off a bunch saps myself.

How long would it take to make up for $750,000? Oh, probably 2 years salary for 6 workers if each made $62,500/yr... 4 years if all 6 made $31,250/yr. The math gets real simple real quick doesn't it? In 4 years they'll probably sell it off to somebody else but not before the bonus Queens are let go and Lee writes off that $750k. How do they even sleep at night?

I'm a former Post employee. When I first hired on over 20 years ago the Post was a vibrantpaper. I shared the newsroom with many top reporters, artist, editors and photographers.After Lee Enterprise took command, I witnessed the destruction of our paper from the inside out. What most people on the street don't realize is the vast majority of Post employees are and were on the production end, working late nights, weekends and seldom having the quality time to spend with there families. These produtioneers are folks just like you and I. Folks who want nothing more but to work hard, produce a great product and provide for there families.While Mary Junck and the gang fill there pockets Post-Dispatch employees are losing everything.

Junck gets a $500K bonus and Schmidt gets a $250K bonus. Yet six newsroom folks get the short haircut for no reason at all...

It's disgusting Lee Enterprises has to lay off six people over money woes, whlle  giving Mary Junk a $500K bonus. The stockholders of Lee should revolt and  fire the board of directors and Junk before it's too late. For  if they don't, the directors and Junk will continue to suck the lifeblood out of the Post Dispatch until there is nothing left. Get out the pitch forks and tar buckets!
