Here's your weekly St. Louis bestseller list for the week ending May 6, as compiled by the St. Louis Independent Booksellers Alliance and based on sales at Left Bank Books, Main Street Books, Pudd'nhead Books, Subterranean Books and Sue's News.

The Heart and the Fist, we think, would be a great title for a S&M romance novel. But instead it is, as many of you know, since it's the number one bestseller this week, a memoir by Eric Greitens, a local-boy-made-good-as-Navy-SEAL-and-veteran-advocate.

Yes, 50 Shades of Gray and its sequel 50 Shades Darker are still on the list. But who gives a crap about any of that? There's a new Sookie Stackhouse book out. Charlaine Harris's novels are the basis of the HBO series True Blood (just in case you didn't know) -- there are vampires and they are addictive as hell. And since Harris lives in Arkansas, we'll claim her as a local author.
