Cell Phones Now Covered Under Missouri's "No Call" List

That didn't take too long. Last month the state legislature forwarded HB 1549 to the governor's desk, and today Jay Nixon signed the bill into law allowing Missouri residents to add their cell phones to the state's "No Call" list for telemarketers.

Missourians may now register their cell phone numbers on his Attorney General's website or by phone at 1-866-BUZZOFF, a number that proves bureaucrats can have a sense of humor.

Unfortunately, the law only applies to personal cell phones (not business phones) and telemarketers trying to cell you stuff. Charities and non-profits may still ring you at will asking for donations. Still, it's better than nothing.
