Richter scored more than 1,000 points for Wash U.
He helped the Washington University Bears win the 2009 NCAA Division III National Championship, was named the University Athletic Association Player of the Year and is a DIII All-Star. Now Dylan Richter has a new distinction: He's the latest member of the Harlem Globetrotters.

Dylan discusses his surprise drafting by Globetrotters.

The basketball team drafted the Illinois-native yesterday, adding him to a recruiting class that includes Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt. Not sure whether the latter can play basketball, but he'll have little trouble running around the Washington Generals, who've won one game against the Globetrotters in 50 years of play.

Other members of the 2012 Globetrotters draft class include Iesha Davis, the sister of UK Wildcat Anthony Davis.
