St. Louis Filmmaker's Showcase: The Schedule Is Set

We're just weeks away from the twelfth annual St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase -- in fact we're so close that Cinema St. Louis released the full schedule of all 96 films today. The SLIFF exists to highlight films written, directed, produced and/or edited in St. Louis, or by St. Louis natives.

Some of the films are shorts, others are trailers for films that are still in production and a few are works-in-progress cuts of movies that are close to completion. One of those almost-done films is 23 Minutes to Sunrise, Jay Kanzler's feature-length drama shot entirely in Sauget, Illinois. The RFT's Chad Garrison spent some time with Kanzler during the filming process last year.

SLIFF opens with filmmaker seminars on Saturday, July 7, at the Centene Center for Arts & Education (3547 Olive Street in Grand Center), and continues through July 12. The bulk of the films will screen at the Tivoli Theatre in beautiful downtown University City.
