Death Toll from Heat Wave Now at 18

The four new victims confirmed by the St. Louis Health Department include two homeless men, whose deaths should serve as a reminder that there's a sizable population of people who have very few options for escaping the elements.
The latest victims include:
Enones Berry, 72, of the 4000 block of North 21st Street.
Troy Cooper, 70, of the 4500 block of Harris Avenue.
Earl L. Rinker, 43, a homeless man who was found in a vacant warehouse.
Timothy Simmonson, 43, a homeless man who was found in the 400 block of South 15th Street.
