[UPDATE 2:16 p.m.: St. Louis Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce tweets that her office continues to review the evidence against the suspects, and that no decision has been made yet about charges being filed. Original post follows.]

St. Louis Police have two men in custody for the murder of Megan Boken, and charges are going to the St. Louis Circuit Attorney's office this morning.

Neither man has been identified pending the filing of official charges, but multiple sources are reporting that the suspects are a pair of 18-year-old black men. Police chief Dan Isom said in a Thursday night press conference that he's "confident" these are the men who killed Boken during a botched robbery on Saturday afternoon.

Boken, a former SLU volleyball player who graduated in 2011, was on her way to a SLU alumni game when she was killed while sitting in her car in the Central West End. The senselessness of the murder -- nothing was stolen from her or her car -- and the brazenness of the murder happening in the middle of a summer afternoon in one of the city's nicer neighborhoods, has drawn attention to the city's crime rate.
