The Central West End Neighborhood Security Initiative yesterday released information on two armed robberies that occurred on Sunday, August 19, hours after Megan Boken was murdered at the intersection of Taylor and Maryland avenues.

According to its update, four people walking near Euclid Avenue and West Pine Boulevard at 12:40 a.m. were held up at gunpoint by one man. Moments after the successful robbery, he attempted to rob two other pedestrians, who ran from the scene. The robber fired one shot at his fleeing victims before fleeing in a maroon Mercury Mountaineer.

The gunman is  a black man in his 20s, between 200 and 250 pounds, wearing a light blue shirt and jean shorts. The second suspect was not identifiable by any of the victims.

The CWE Neighborhood Security Initiative notes in another update that it "has bike patrols out" in the wake of this past weekend's incidents.
