A 24-year-old black man told police he was walking in the back alley of the 3500 block of Natural Bridge Avenue in the Fairground Park neighborhood just before midnight on Monday when a black man approached him. The new arrival announced a robbery, and at least one other man appeared to assist the hold-up. The victim told police that during the robbery, one of the suspects shot him once in the top of his foot and then fled. The injured man was able to walk to the 2900 block of Palm Place, then called 911. He's in stable condition at an area hospital.
