On Saturday afternoon, the tent was gone.
St. Louis County reportedly told Rice that the property was not sanitary and that the tent violated zoning laws. There were no toilets on-site, and Rice didn't have permits for portable toilets.
Rice, as ever, is undaunted. He vowed to work with the county to make the property legally inhabitable as a stop-gap until a homeless shelter is built in St. Louis County.
