Robert Owens Jr.: St. Louis Homicide No. 78; Shot to Death in the West End

Police were called to the 5500 block of Bartmer Avenue in the city's West End neighborhood at 11 p.m. Friday night for a reported shooting. They found Robert Owens, Jr., 25, lying in the street near an unoccupied vehicle. Owens had been shot in the head, buttocks and arms and was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have no suspects at this time, but the investigation continues.
