In addition to talking heads, the PSAs also feature some television-worthy reenactments of violence.
St. Louis Police Chief Dan Isom. Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce. County Police Chief Tim Fitch. James Clark of Better Family Life. They are a but a few of the stars of a new series of hard-edged public service announcement to be unveiled today.

View the PSAs below.

The commercials open with reenactments of crime à la something out of The Wire and are the first video PSAs by St. Louis Regional CrimeStoppers. In all three spots residents are urged to pick up the phone and call the agency (866-371-TIPS) when they have information that could solve a crime.

CrimeStoppers takes information anonymously -- something that's played up in the PSAs. "CrimeStoppers won't take your name. And they don't want your number. They just want your tip," states Joyce in the video below.

It also pays cash rewards of up to $1,000 for tips that lead to a successful prosecution. Over the years St. Louis CrimeStoppers has approved over $85,000 in rewards and cleared 490 cases, according to its website.

Update 12:15 p.m. Not all videos below may play. They were "public" this morning but later switched to "private." So much for getting the message out to the public?!

Update 4:45 p.m. Okay they're back up and live. Check 'em below.
