This occurred late Monday night, after a 3.5-hour rain delay at Wrigley Field caused the Cubs game against the Pirates to stretch well past midnight.

At which point, in the ninth inning, we all got a refreshing taste of typical Cubs-fan behavior.

We loved the conclusion reached yesterday by Deadspin writer Timothy Burke:
