Another young guy, age 26, was driving, police say. As they approached Euclid, the driver would later tell officers, a black car pulled up alongside them on the left and a "black male" began blasting bullets into their vehicle.
The driver felt the pain of a wound in his knee, then quickly noticed that Reed was hit in the head.
The driver managed to drive to Barnes Jewish Hospital, and was listed in stable condition with gunshot wounds to his back, right arm and right knee.
Reed was pronounced dead at the hospital. The investigation continues.
