Here's your weekly St. Louis bestseller list for the week ending September 16, as compiled by the St. Louis Independent Booksellers Alliance and based on sales at Left Bank Books, Main Street Books, Pudd'nhead Books and Subterranean Books.

Almost exactly a year after the death of Bob Cassilly, his City Museum co-founder and second ex-wife Gail Soliwoda Cassilly has published her memoir, Saltwater, which makes its debut at number 8 on the local bestseller list. (The title is a play off her maiden name.) Cassilly, it turns out, has had quite a full and interesting life beyond her marriage: She's an accomplished sculptor in her own right (she and Bob met in a sculpture class at Fontbonne University) and served for ten years as a missionary nun in Malawi. If you don't believe us, read the excerpts that ran in the Beacon.

Also new to the list this week is Immortally Yours, the first in a new series of paranormal romances about a M*A*S*H unit by local author Angie Fox. (Surely this is the first time these two concepts have ever been combined, which makes the book worth at least a passing glance.)
