Why can't robbers just take the loot and go?
Police believe they've locked up the guy who, earlier this month, was robbing people near I-44 and Grand, taking their property, then shooting them anyway.

However, we just had another rob-then-shoot incident last night in the St. Louis Place neighborhood.

Is going to be a thing now? Please let it not become a thing.

According to police, a 35-year-old white male was walking down the 1800 block of Madison Street last night at about 3:15 am when a white four-door pulled up.

According to the victim, three black males in their early 20s were inside.

The guy in the backseat got out, pointed a gun at the victim and announced a robbery. A second suspect in the front passenger seat got out and hit the victim in the back of the head.

The first suspect then punched the victim in the face. They took what he had in his wallet.

The victim then ran off, but as he fled, they fired "several shots" at him.

The investigation, as always, is ongoing.
