Richard Dale, Jr., St. Louis Homicide No. 103: Shot in Head, Left in Vehicle for Days

Richard Dale Jr. was found shot in the head in a vehicle that looked like this
At 6:10 pm Monday, police say, officers came to the 5900 block of Lalite in the Walnut Park West neighborhood in North St. Louis.

They'd gotten a call about a pickup truck that had been parked in the same spot for several days.

When the cops arrived and looked inside the 1992 gray GMC Sierra, they found a young man's lifeless body.


Richard Dale Jr., a 25-year-old black male from the 8600 block of Oriole Street in the Baden neighborhood, was found dead with what looked like gunshots wounds in his head.

Investigation is ongoing.

So far, St. Louis is on track to have roughly the same number of homicides this year as last year.

At this point last year, we were at 107. Right now, we're at 103.
